REXBURG — Off of U.S. Highway 20, police are at the scene of a crash that sent one person to the hospital.
Due to the accident, southbound exit 337 (the north Rexburg exit) will be closed for the next two hours.
Isaac Payne with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said that the crash call came in at 10:35 a.m. on Thursday. There are two cars in the accident, and one of them flipped over. There were two people in the crash. He said that one person was taken to a hospital nearby.
It’s not clear what happened in the crash or how the person who was taken to the hospital is doing.
Payne said that the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the Rexburg Police Department, the Idaho State Police, and EMS are all at the crash scene.
Isaac Payne, a spokesman for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, said that three people were in the crash.
There were two people in a passenger car. One of the people in the car was killed, and the other was taken to a nearby hospital.
The driver of a semi-truck, who was the third person in the accident, was not taken to the hospital.
Still, no one knows what caused the crash.
