FREMONT COUNTY, Idaho — Five men from Burley were taken to the hospital Saturday night after they were in an accident with a semi-truck in Fremont County.
The driver of a Subaru Legacy was going west on US20 near Milepost 364 around 5 p.m. when he crossed the center line of the road and hit a semi-truck head-on, according to the Idaho State Police (ISP).
Four other men from Burley, all in their early 20s, were with the driver, who was 23 years old. The driver and passenger in the front seat were wearing seatbelts, but the three people in the back seat were not.
All of the people who were in the Subaru were taken by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The 57-year-old Pennsylvania man driving the semi-truck was wearing his seatbelt, so he didn’t need to be moved.
Lanes in both directions were blocked for about two hours while emergency workers helped the people involved and got the accident cleared up.
ISP is still looking into what caused the accident.
